Newport News, Va. - Newport News police are investigating after a man's body was found in a ditch at 13452 Warwick Blvd.
Police received a call about an unresponsive man in the ditch Thursday morning at approximately 7:46 a.m.
Medics responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene at approximately 7:53 a.m. He has been identified as 51-year-old Clinton Eric Sheppard of Newport News.
The cause of death has not yet been released. Officials previously said they did not believe it to be suspicious.
