Missing Virginia Beach woman found in Chesapeake

UPDATE: Ms. Brown was found Tuesday in Chesapeake, according to Virginia Beach Police. Off-duty Virginia Beach Sergeant Calhoun was driving in the area of TCC on Cedar Road around 3:45 p.m. when he spotted Ms. Brown’s vehicle.


Virginia Beach, Va. – Police are searching for a missing 80-year-old woman who is in need of medical assistance in Virginia Beach, police tell NewsChannel 3.

80-year-old Emily Brown was spotted by a citizen at approximately 4 a.m. Tuesday morning near S. Military Highway. She was spotted again at approximately 7 a.m. near George Washington Highway and Military Highway, but police were not contacted until later.

Brown was also seen on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 12 p.m. in the 1000 block of College Park Boulevard.

Brown has short black hair and was last known to be wearing a black dress, beige top, jean jacket and sneakers. She left driving a light blue 2009 Hyundai Sonata 4-Door with Virginia license plates XPK-5216, according to police. She is known to frequent the Pembroke Mall area and likes to drive up and down Virginia Beach Boulevard, NewsChannel 3 has been told.
