Myles Henderson’s Live VIPIR Forecast
Tracking heavy rain and storms… A cold front and a stationary front will merge over the Mid-Atlantic today bringing us rain and a chance for storms. Rain chances will increase through the day with our best chance late this afternoon and this evening. Rain will be very heavy at times and could cause localized flooding. Some storms could be strong to severe, but our biggest threat will be the heavy downpours. Most areas will see over ½” of rain but some spots could top the 1” mark due to the pockets of heavy rain. Highs will return to the 70s today, before the cold front moves through. Highs will only reach to near 60 on Wednesday with rain chances tapering off but many clouds lingering. Highs will slowly warm through the 60s to finish the week with several “brush by” chances for rain.
