Virginia Beach, Va. - Police have identified a woman killed in a car crash on London Bridge Road on Wednesday night.
London Bridge Road was shut down Wednesday night in both directions due to the fatal accident.
Investigators say at approximately 10:30 p.m., a 1998 Ford Explorer was traveling east in the 2300 block of London Bridge Road when the vehicle ran into the median and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to rotate and roll over. The driver was ejected and died at the scene, police say.
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Jacquelynn Kate Savage of Virginia Beach.
Contributing factors are yet to be determined. This case remains under investigation.
