Virginia Beach, Va. – A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the April 5th homicide of 20-year-old Crystal Stevenson in Virginia Beach.
Stevenson was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound at a residence in the 1600 block of Gallery Avenue at 2:15 a.m. on April 5th.
Investigators determined that Stevenson was at a gathering when an altercation occurred. She was shot while trying to leave the residence.
Michael Frederick Hines, 22, was identified as a suspect after surveillance images with his picture were released to the public on Tuesday.
He has since been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony. He is currently being held without bond in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center.
Hines was arraigned in court on Wednesday afternoon.
