Williamsburg, Va. – Three baby lambs – triplets, actually, born in Colonial Williamsburg, now have names after a recent contest held online.
The names chosen for the Leicester Longwool lambs are Jamie, Yorkie, and Willie. The names are all abbreviated versions of the areas in the Historic Triangle: Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg.
The lambs were born earlier this year to mother, Belle, who also gave birth to a set of triplets last year!
If you’re lucky, you can find Belle and her lambs in the Blue Bell Pasture on Waller Street in Colonial Williamsburg. Or visit the Colonial Williamsburg blog for more cute pictures and updates on the lambs!
