Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk Fire and Virginia Natural Gas have completed their investigation into a gas smell reported in the office area at Granby Elementary School, located at 7101 Newport Avenue.
Crews say there was no active leak, just a smell. Units have cleared the scene.
The smell was reported around 9:50 a.m. Monday morning.
The school was evacuated as a precaution. All students and staff were relocated across the street to Granby High School. They have since returned to the building.
