RICHMOND, Va. – A scary fire on pit road at Richmond International Raceway sent three pit crew members, two from Brendan Gaughan’s pit crew and one from Eric McClure’s crew, to the VCU Medical Center.

The fire happened during Friday night’s Xfinity Series ToyotaCare 250.

According to FOX Sports, on Lap 108 of the 250-lap race, Gaughan’s car burst into flames while on a pit stop. Rear-tire changer Anthony O’Brien, gasman Josh Wittman and an unnamed crewman from McClure’s team were taken to the hospital and treated for burns.
