Teens accused of leading Chesapeake police on chase with car stolen from YMCA

Chesapeake, Va. – Two teens are suspected of stealing a vehicle from the Great Bridge YMCA and leading police on a chase Wednesday night.

At approximately 5:59 PM Chesapeake Police attempted to stop the vehicle in the 600 block of Greenbrier Parkway. The vehicle struck a curb and officers believed the driver was impaired.

Police chased the vehicle, which struck a parked car on Woodgate Common and later came to a stop in a yard in the 1900 block of Devonwood Common. No injuries were reported in the chase

It was later determined that the suspects had just stolen the vehicle from the YMCA at 633 Battlefield Blvd South.

Charges are pending for Felony Eluding, Reckless Driving, and Grand Larceny.
