More rain and very windy… An area of low pressure will spin up off of the NC coast today, ramping up winds and keeping rain locked in. Like yesterday, expect on and off rain throughout the day. Rain may be heavy at times with a stray storm mixed in. Winds will crank up this afternoon with gusts to near 35 mph possible. Expect rough surf and very minor coastal flooding. Highs will only reach into the upper 50s today. Rain should taper off from north to south late this afternoon and evening. Expect a nice mix of sun and clouds on Saturday with highs warming into the upper 60s and calming winds. Highs climb into the 70s on Sunday with plenty of sunshine.
