Couple who filed lawsuit to overturn same-sex marriage ban in Virginia weds in Norfolk

Posted

Norfolk, Va. – Two men who made history, made it official Saturday.  Tim Bostic and Tony London were married in Norfolk.

The wedding was held at Christ and St. Luke’s Church.

Bostic and London were plaintiffs in the lawsuit over gay marriage filed in Norfolk in 2013.

Last October the U.S. Supreme Court refused to review a lower court ruling overturning the ban on same-sex marriage.  That cleared the way for thousands of same sex couples to tie the knot.

Bostic and London have been a couple for twenty five years.
