Suffolk, Va. - A man has been charged with sex crimes against a child in Suffolk, police tell NewsChannel 3 and now he's facing even more charges.
Police arrested 35-year-old Corey Jerome Smith of Suffolk, on May 5, 2015. He is now in the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
Smith was charged with Rape, Aggravated Sexual Battery, Taking Indecent Liberties with a Child, and Cruelty & Injuries to Children related to alleged incidents involving a young girl.
After investigating this case even more, police have now charged Smith with incest, rape, indecent liberties with a child, aggravated sexual battery victim 13-17, cruelty and injuries to children.
This investigation is ongoing.
