Hampton, Va. – Hampton police are searching for suspects wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on May 10, 2015.
At 1:36 a.m., police received a complaint in reference to shots fired in the 1900 block of Coliseum Drive, at Kelly’s Tavern.
While officers were investigating the initial complaint, Public Safety Communications was notified that there was one male shooting victim at the Sentara Careplex. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries, police say.
Police say that two unknown suspects were involved in a verbal altercation in the parking lot. Guns were displayed and gunfire was exchanged with one bullet striking the victim and multiple bullets striking vehicles in the parking lot, police say. The victim was not involved in the altercation and was driven to the hospital. There were no other injuries reported as a result of this incident.
There is no suspect information at this time.
