Norfolk, Va. – A 70-year-old man was injured after he suffered a medical emergency and ran off the road in Norfolk on Friday night.
He was driving his Dodge Caravan in the 5900 block of Chesapeake Blvd. at 8:30 p.m.
Witnesses say the man was going southbound on Chesapeake Blvd. when he ran off of the road, hit a wire in the median and ended up in the Northbound traffic lanes.
He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries.
No other vehicles were involved. The driver was the only person in the vehicle at the time.
