Fugitive arrested on drug, child neglect charges at Newport News motel

Newport News, Va. – A woman wanted on drug and child neglect charges was arrested at a Newport News motel on Tuesday.

24-year-old Jamie Chloe Firth of Poquoson was arrested by patrol officers and members of the Fugitive Apprehension Unit at the Fort Eustis Inn at 16923 Warwick Boulevard around 4:55pm.

Firth was wanted on charges of one count each of possession of a schedule I or II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a revoked operator’s license and child neglect (having a 3-year-old child with her while under the influence of drugs).

At the time of her arrest she was also charged with one count each of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of a schedule I or II drug.
