Norfolk, Va. (WTKR) - A man was shot to death in the 700 block of Kimball Court in Norfolk early Sunday morning.

Shortly before 1:00 a.m., 911 dispatchers received a call of gunshots.

When police arrived, they found 29-year-old Felix Smallwood suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.

Norfolk Homicide Investigators are actively investigating the incident. No information has been released about possible suspects.

Neighbors say they heard the shots.

One woman who didn't wanted to be identified said, "Wow.  It was like, it was real powerful.  Bang bang bang bang ....  had a lot of power behind it."

On Sunday there was a memorial set up with flowers and a candle. Family and friends say Smallwood left behind two young daughters -- a two-year-old and a five-month-old.

"He would be out there playing with him and it was cute to watch. It really was. He was so proud of the little one," said neighbor Kelly Staso.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Homicide Division at 757-664-7023, or the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
