Police pursuit ends with 20-year-old motorcyclist’s arrest

Virginia Beach, Va. - A 20-year-old man has been arrested after leading Chesapeake Police detectives on a pursuit that eventually ended in a Virginia Beach neighborhood on Thursday morning.

According to Chesapeake Police, two detectives were just inside the city of Virginia Beach around 8:00 a.m. investigating a case when they spotted a motorcycle that was believed to have been in a pursuit on May 17th in which the driver of the motorcycle got away.

The detectives followed the motorcycle and saw that it did not have a license plate. The driver of the motorcycle reportedly looked back at the detectives several times before speeding away from them.

Detectives caught up to the driver at his home in the 900 block of Antonick Lane.

The driver, 20-year-old Kenneth Tabing, was arrested for Felony Eluding and Failure to Display Registration Plate. Charges are still pending in reference to the pursuit on May 17th.
