Hot and humid, then showers and thunderstorms….As we move through our Monday, get ready for another hot, humid day across Hampton Roads and NE North Carolina, courtesy of high pressure offshore. Highs will soar into the upper 80s and lower 90s by afternoon, but the humidity will make it feel hotter. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms by afternoon. However, our rain chances will be going up into Tuesday as a cold front slowly moves in from the west. Some of the rain could be heavy at times. Otherwise, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the low to mid 80s. The front will stall across the area Wednesday, giving way to more rain. Highs will cool off just a bit, into the upper 70s by then.

Tonight: Stars and Clouds. Warm and Muggy. Low temperatures in the mid 60s. Winds: S 5-10 mph.

Monday: Sun and Cloud Mix. Chance of PM Showers and Storms (20-30%). High temperatures in the upper 80s. Winds: S 5-10 mph.

Tuesday: Partly to Mostly Cloudy. Chance of Showers and Storms (60%). High temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Winds: SE 5-15 mph.
