Strong thunderstorms moved through Hampton Roads on Tuesday evening bringing heavy rain and even hail to some parts of the area.
Near the Oceanfront, Tony Pellino paddle boarded through his surf shop on Virginia Beach Boulevard. He says about eight or nine inches of water flooded his business.
"It's pretty upsetting, but luckily 90% of everything I have in here floats, so there is not a lot of damage that needs to be replaced or repaired," says Pellino.
Trees also came crashing down on a home on Beautiful Street just off Birdneck Road.
Luckily, neighbors say no one lives inside of the home.
The heavy rain also flooded several streets and it even washed trash into some people's yards.
The water finally started to recede by around 7 p.m. Some in Virginia Beach say this was some of the worst flooding they've ever seen.
