Dare County, N.C. – A Murfreesboro man has been arrested on drug trafficking charges after he was found with a large amount of Oxycodone in his car.
The Dare County Narcotics Task Force pulled over 39-year-old Christopher Ashley Warrick on May 28th after receiving information that he was coming to Dare County with a substantial amount of prescription medication to sell to residents in Wanchese.
During a search of the vehicle a large amount of Oxycodone was found. Warrick was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Opium/Heroin, Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver an Opiate Derivative and Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substances
Warrick is being held in lieu of a $150,000 secured bond at the Dare County Detention Center.
The Dare County Drug Task Force is made up of the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, Nags Head Police Department, Kill Devil Hills Police Department, Kitty Hawk Police Department, NC State Bureau of Investigations and NC Alcohol Law Enforcement.
