Chesapeake, Va. – If you’re on the lookout for a new local restaurant–the type of place where your name and favorite order will be remembered–then you just might be in luck. The Bypass 168, a bar and grill, has opened this past week in Chesapeake. Its owners tout fresh food and a “neighborhood pub” feel.
Bonnie Ingram co-owns the restaurant with her daughter Tara. She says one of the things that makes Bypass 168 unique is the freshness of the food.
“A good 80% of the menu is made fresh. Dressings are homemade, desserts are homemade,” says Ingram.
The restaurant serves a variety of dishes ranging from sandwiches and burgers to tuna tacos and chicken florentine.
The Bypass 168 is located on 237 Carmichael Way in Chesapeake, Va.
