Southampton County, Va. – John Robert Carr was arrested and indicted on attempted rape and indecent liberty charges from over 50 years ago.
Carr turned himself in two months after the Southampton County Sheriff’s office received a complaint back in March. The alleged victim in this case was 5-years-old at the time of the incident.
He has been released on $100,000 bond.
A trial date has not been set yet.
