The Virginia Beach SPCA team stopped by today with these lovable animals, each of which is available for adoption this weekend during the organization's "Passion 4 Compassion" event.
Twelve Virginia shelters will be hosting the "Passion 4 Compassion" Adoption event June 11-14, 2015. The event will celebrate shelter animal adoptions and the hard work done by shelter professionals every day, officials say.
Shelters will be offering special reduced Adoption prices for "Passion 4 Compassion". Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center will be offering half off on all adoption fees. The adoption fees include vaccinations, microchips, and spay/neuter fees. This price does not include the city license fee for Virginia Beach residents. Be sure to check with all participating shelters for their unique adoption specials.
The Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center is located at 341 S. Birdneck Road, and is the municipal animal shelter for the City of Virginia Beach.
Shelter hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11-6, Thursday from 11-7, and Saturday and Sunday from 10-3. The shelter is open on Tuesdays from 11-3 for owner surrenders and reclaim only. Call 385-4444, option 2 for further information regarding adoptable pets.
