Man shot during argument in Hampton; Suspect in custody

Hampton, Va. - One man was shot and injured during an altercation in the 1st block of Stewart Street on Thursday morning.

Police responded to the scene at 11:25 a.m. and located an adult man suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He remains hospitalized but is stable.

The investigation revealed that the suspect and the victim knew each other and got into an argument. During the argument, the suspect displayed a gun and shot the victim.

Police arrested Michael Angelo Kee, 56.

He has been charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

He is now in the custody of the Hampton City Jail.
