Norfolk, Va. -- A Chanello's Pizza delivery driver was robbed, assaulted, and carjacked Sunday night.

Police received a call shortly after 10 PM about a robbery that occurred in the 1300 block of Reservoir Avenue.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the 33-year-old delivery driver was attempting to deliver a pizza, when two men approached and assaulted him. The men took personal property and the keys to his 2011 Gray Jeep Cherokee.

Keena Sessoms lives on Reservoir Avenue and ordered pizza from Chanello's last night, now she's worried that the man attacked was the man who delivered her dinner only a few hours before.

"I hope it wasn't the same guy that we had," said Sessoms. "For them to steal a car. I mean he is just an honest man trying to make a living and feed his family and for that to happen to take this car I mean that is just childish."

The man was transported to a local hospital with injuries considered to be non-life threatening.

The suspects are described as young black men ranging from 15 to 18 years-old. One of the suspects was wearing a white tank top and black shorts.

Norfolk Police are actively investigating this robbery and encourage anyone who may have information to contact the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
