Early morning home invasion, robbery under investigation in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. - Police are investigating a home invasion and robbery that occurred early Wednesday morning in the 5200 block of Windermere Avenue.

Officers responded to the home around 6:45 a.m. A man reported that around 4:30 a.m., two unknown men entered his residence, displayed a gun and took personal property.

The men were wearing dark police attire and masks.

During the incident, the man was injured but his injury is non-life threatening. He transported himself to the hospital for treatment after the incident. After he returned from the hospital, he contacted police.
