Virginia Beach, Va. - A man was rescued by lifeguards at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on Wednesday afternoon, according to Virginia Beach Police.
Lifeguards near 17th Street spotted the man struggling in the water around 2:15 p.m. The lifeguards were able to pull the man from the water and up onto the beach before rescue units arrived.
The man was transported to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
