Teen charged with car theft in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. – A teen has been charged with car theft in Norfolk, police tell NewsChannel 3.

Shortly before 2:30 p.m. on June 17, a police officer saw what he believed to be a stolen vehicle in the 2300 block of E. Princess Anne Road.

The officer followed the vehicle, which subsequently pulled into the Park Avenue Shopping Center located in the 900 block of Park Avenue. There, the driver attempted to run away, but was immediately apprehended.

The driver, a 17-year-old boy, is being charged with car theft and other traffic related charges.
