Two people injured in separate Portsmouth shootings

Portsmouth, Va. - Two shootings were reported within about 20 minutes of each in Portsmouth Sunday night.

The first happened around 9:13 p.m. in the 1200 block of High St.

A man was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

About 20 minutes later, emergency dispatchers got a call of another shooting.  That one was in the 700 block of Lanier Crescent.

According to police, a woman was injured when a projectile came through her home and hit her hand.  It's still unclear if it was a bullet.
