More extreme heat… Temperatures will start near 80 this morning and climb into the upper 90s this afternoon. Today will likely be the hottest day so far this year and we could set new daily high temperature records. Heat index values will reach 105 to 110 this afternoon. We are also tracking storms that will move in this evening as a cold front moves in. Some storms could be strong to severe with gusty winds and heavy rain.
That front will knock the temperatures back down for midweek. Expect highs in the upper 80s for Wednesday and Thursday.
