Virginia Beach, Va. – Families are invited to the Francis Land House Family Fun Day on June 27. The Virginia Regency Society will give the event a historical feel, offering 19th century games, dancing, and other activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Visitors may bring their picnics to the Land House’s lawn where they can enjoy old-fashioned table-top and lawn games such as jacks, nine pins, marbles, hoops, game of graces, and shut the box. Members of the Regency Society will lead dancing and provide musket, pistol, and bow shooting demonstrations.
Francis Land House tours will be available hourly and free of charge during this event. Picnics and all activities are also free of charge. The historic house is located at 3133 Virginia Beach Blvd.
