Hampton, Va. – On Sunday morning, a 27-year-old man was shot several times by someone who broke into his home.
Police were called about the situation at 2:11 a.m. on Sunday. They say the victim went to his apartment, found the door forced open, went inside and was confronted by two suspects. During the confrontation, shots were fired and the suspects ran away from the area.
They went out to the scene on Sacramento Drive and an officer at Sentara Careplex told them the victim was there and had been shot multiple times.
He was then taken to Riverside Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
