EFV’s mission is to create films inspired by the people and spaces of Cape Charles, helping forge a new identity for the town as a cultural tourism destination while becoming a hotspot for international artists and experimental projects that engage community. There are special guest lectures and guests of honor throughout the festival.

This year’s festival events include:

  • July 5 : Art in a Barn – 6:30 PM at Mimosa Barn
  • July 11: Film Premiere, immediately followed by the Bayamo Party
    • Film Premiere starts at 7 PM at the Historic Palace Theatre, 305 Mason Avenue
    • Immediately following, the Bayamo Party at the Cape Charles Harbor

“It serves at multiple levels: locally, nationally and internationally. Everyone who participates in EFV gives something and gets something,” EFV Artistic Director and Founder Renata Sheppard said. “Arts and business do go hand-in-hand and we are trying to demonstrate that with EFV.”

All events are free and open to the public.
