Norfolk, Va. – McDonald restaurants of Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina will support Operation Homefront’s 2015 Back to School Brigade program.
The program is collecting school supplies at local McDonald’s restaurants from July 1, 2015 to July 31 , 2015. With the help from locals, hundreds of children in the Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina will be able to receive a backpack full of school supplies that will allow each student to be prepared for the upcoming school year.
Each person that donates new unopened school supplies at a marked donation box at their local McDonald’s will receive a coupon for a free McDonald’s dessert coupon.
Operation Homefront’s list of most-needed school supplies include:
- crayons scissors rulers loose-leaf notebook paper
- glue sticks pencils colored pencils three ring binders
- pencil sharpeners erasers ballpoint pens binder dividers
- highlighters spiral notebooks pencil cases composition notebooks
- index cards pocket folder
