Newport News, Va. - Newport News Police are investigating the Wednesday night murder of a 37-year-old man.
Several calls came in around 7:53 p.m. Wednesday night reporting that shots had been fired in the area of the 400 block of Turlington Road. One of those calls reported that a person had been shot.
Police say when they arrived on the scene, they found 37-year-old Nagash Oson McKoy, inside of a van. He appeared to have been shot multiple times.
An officer performed CPR until medics arrived but the McKoy was pronounced deceased by medics at the scene.
Detectives say they have been given vague descriptions of possible suspects:
- Black male wearing a white shirt and grey pants
- Light skin black male wearing a white shirt
- Black male wearing a "bucket" hat.
