Hampton, Va – The driver of a moped was sent to the hospital after being hit in Hampton Sunday evening.
Police received a call at 8:32 PM that two vehicles crashed at Old Buckroe Road and Shelton Road.
Police say that a 2002 Mercury Sedan was traveling northbound on Shelton Road when it hit a 2006 moped traveling westbound on Old Buckroe Road.
The driver of the moped, a 32-year-old Hampton man, was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Orlando Pino, a 30-year-old California man, was charged with failure to obey a stop sign.
