Norfolk, Va. - Two people are in custody and another is on the run after police say they crashed a stolen car into a light pole causing it to flip over.

Police say this all started when they tried to initiate a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle that was going northbound in the 6100 block of Tidewater Drive.

The driver lost control causing the vehicle to veer off of the roadway, hit a pole and flip on to its roof.

The two people who were taken into custody were also taken to the hospital for evaluation. They suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still searching for the third suspect.

They say he was last seen running in the 6100 block of Sedgefield Drive.

No one else was injured during this incident.

North and Southbound lanes on Tidewater Drive are still closed as officers continue to investigate.
