Police asking for help identifying man who robbed Hampton store with T-shirt on his head

Hampton, Va. – Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed the Stop-n-Shop Convenience Store located in the 900 block of North King Street on July 5th.

Shortly after 2 p.m. the man entered the business and demanded money at gunpoint. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled. There were no injuries during this incident.

The suspect is described as a black male with dark-skin tone, last seen wearing a dark t-shirt, grey knee length shorts, white high top shoes with a black tongue, and a grey t-shirt wrapped over his head.

Anyone with information that will assist police is encouraged to contact the Hampton Police Division at 727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

Tipsters can also send an anonymous tip via text message to the Crime Line by texting “HAMPTONPDTIPS” plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Crime Line callers remain anonymous and never appear in court. If a Crime Line call results in an arrest, the caller is eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00.
