More heat, humidity and thunderstorms are in your forecast….As we move through this early work week, get ready for triple digit heat! On Monday, southwesterly winds will help boost our high temperatures into the mid and upper 90s, but because of the humidity, it will feel like the low 100s by afternoon.  As a result, a Heat Advisory has been issued for most of Hampton Roads and Northeastern NC from noon until 8 p.m. Monday. Some areas could have heat index values as high as 108!  Take your precautions.  We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds during the day. A few afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will also move in. A cold front approaches the area into Tuesday, giving way to scattered showers and storms. Highs will be in the mid 90s. High temps will drop a few degrees by Wednesday, into the mid 80s. And highs are expected to remain in the mid and upper 80s for the rest of the work week.
