Monday’s VIPIR Forecast: Extreme heat

Extreme heat and humidity … A Heat Advisory is in effect from Noon until 8 PM for most of inland Hampton Roads and inland Northeastern North Carolina. Highs will climb into the mid 90s today with heat index values near 105 for most areas. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with scattered showers/storms firing up in the afternoon.

The weather pattern will repeat on Tuesday with more triple digits heat index values and chance for scattered showers/storms. We will catch a break for the second half of the week. Highs will drop into the mid to upper 80s from Wednesday through the weekend.
