More extreme heat and storms … A Heat Advisory is in effect from Noon until 8 PM for most of Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina. Highs will climb back into the mid 90s today with heat index values near 105 for most areas. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with scattered showers/storms firing up in the afternoon. Some of the storms could be strong to severe.
We will catch a break for the second half of the week. Highs will drop into the mid to upper 80s from Wednesday through the weekend. Rain/storm chances will be very low through the end of the week as well.
