Virginia Beach, Va. – A small fire was reported at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on Wednesday morning, according to the Virginia Beach Fire Department.
The fire started in a light fixture inside the Emergency Department. The area was evacuated due to the smoke.
Once fire crews arrived, the fire was quickly extinguished.
The Emergency Department has since reopened.
