If you looked up July in the dictionary, it might show a picture of today, at least in our part of the world. Today we've had a mix of sun and clouds, highs in the mid-to-upper 80s and a few pop-up thunderstorms. Pretty much what you'd expect in late July.
And tomorrow is looking pretty similar. Expect clouds and sunshine, a light southeast breeze, highs in the mid-to-upper 80s and lower 90s and a few pop-up thunderstorms.
Ahead of an approaching cold front, Thursday is looking like the steamiest day this week. A southwest wind ahead of that front will push temperatures into the upper 80s and lower 90s, with heat index values near 100 degrees. An isolated storm (20% chance) is possible on Thursday. But storm chances (30%) go up on Friday as the cold front arrives. And some scattered storms are possible this weekend, along with slightly milder and less muggy weather.
