Virginia Beach police searching for wanted fugitive

Virginia Beach, Va. – Virginia Beach Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Charles Matthews James.

James is wanted for a probation violation and revocation of a suspended sentence on charges of unlawful wounding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, larceny of a firearm, statutory burglary, and possession of schedule I or schedule II controlled substance.

He is described as a white male, 30 years of age, 5’10”, 135 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes and his known address was on Olympic Drive in the Lake Placid area of Virginia Beach.

James has tattoos covering both arms as well as several tattoos on his torso.

James is known to frequent the lakes in the Lake Placid area where he often goes fishing.

Tipsters will remain anonymous and could be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward if their information leads to an arrest.
