More heat, humidity and storms… A cold front and an area of low pressure will converge on the Mid-Atlantic today and tomorrow. Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with low rain chances during the day. The chance for showers and storms will increase for tonight and the first half of Friday. Skies will clear Friday afternoon. Ahead of the cold front, we will feel the high heat and humidity today. Highs will reach into the low 90s with a heat index near 100 this afternoon.
Don’t expect a big temperature drop on Friday but we will feel a nice drop in the humidity. Expect partly cloudy skies and an isolated chance for showers/storms this weekend.

Tropical Update
We are tracking a tropical wave accompanied by a broad area of low pressure a couple of hundred miles south-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. Further development, if any, will be slow to occur while it moves westward near 15 mph during the next several days.
