Cold front brings storms but little heat relief….A cold front will slowly sweep through Hampton Roads tonight through Friday morning, giving way to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain and gusty winds, but overall, we’re not expecting an outbreak of severe weather tonight. Otherwise, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be in the mid 70s.
The front will stall just offshore on Friday, giving way to some showers and storms during the first half of the day. Skies should clear for most of us by afternoon. Highs will be in upper 80s and lower 90s. And because of the frontal passage, it won’t feel as bad. Humidity levels will drop a bit.
By the weekend, high temperatures will climb back into the upper 80s and lower 90s. A few isolated showers and storms are possible. More wet weather is in the forecast on Monday.
