Patrick’s weekend forecast: Heat and humidity return

Posted
and last updated

You would expect the first weekend of August to be hot and muggy and you won't be disappointed. A cold front pushed through early Friday morning, bringing us milder and less humid air. But the heat returns on Saturday and the humidity on Sunday.

Expect lots of sunshine through the day on Saturday, with highs in the low-to-mid 90s. We should be dry, but we'll hold on to a 15% chance for an isolated storm in the afternoon and evening.

Those rain chances go up slightly on Sunday and temperatures go down (slightly). Expect plenty of sunshine with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s and a 25% chance for an isolated storm.

It'll stay hot and muggy for the start of the work week, with highs in the lower 90s before easing into the 80s for the second half of the work week.
