Two facing charges after police pursuit, crash in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, Va. – Two men are facing charges after leading Chesapeake Police on a brief pursuit before crashing a vehicle into a fence on Thursday night.

Police say they attempted to initiate a traffic stop for failure to yield in the area of Berkley Avenue and Partridge Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

The vehicle fled the area and traveling through several parts of South Norfolk before crashing into a chain link fence in the 1100 block of S. Military Highway.

The driver of the vehicle ran from the scene but was apprehended quickly. The passenger was in the front seat and remained with the vehicle after the crash.

No one was injured.

Police arrested 33-year-old Nathan Klemstine and 48-year-old Eddie Bryant III.

Charges are being secured from defective equipment, felony eluding, and driving on a suspended license.
