Woman injured after shots fired at Newport News gas station

Newport News, Va. – A fight that broke out at a Newport News gas station led to gunfire.

It happened near 48th St. and Marshall Ave.

Police say several people got into a fight and one person fired a gun.

The bullets shattered a glass door.

A woman was injured on either the broken glass or a bullet fragment.  Police say at this point, it’s unclear.

The 27-year-old woman was transported to a hospital but should be okay.

There’s no information yet on a suspect.
