Newport News, Va. - Police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was shot in Newport News on Monday night several times.
The shooting happened in the 300 block of Witness Lane. Calls came in reporting the shooting around 9:15 p.m.
Police do not believe the man's injuries are life-threatening.
There is no suspect information right now.
This shooting comes after eight other shootings were reported around Hampton Roads over the weekend.
Two of them were in Newport News. One incident occurred on 48th and Marshall Avenue where a 27-year-old woman was shot. The other happened on Criston Drive and a 22-year-old man was wounded.
No arrests have been made in either of the previous cases.
